Tempoyak is a food thaat is well known in Kalimantan, Palembang, and
Lampung. These foods are foods made from durian which difermentasidan can eat
with rice if it has been processed.
Tempoyak has been narrated in The Tale of Abdullah
as a daily food Terengganu residents.
When Abdullah bin Abdulkadir Munsyi visited
Terengganu around 1836, he said that one of the locals favorite food is
tempoyak. Based on the history that exist in Tale Abdullah, tempoyak a typical
Malay food, Malaysia and Indonesia in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
There are so many
recipes to cook Tempoyak, but I will present this recipe only. Here it is :
Basic
Materials Tempoyak:
1.
Durian
2.
Some Salt
3. Sugar
4. Cooking oil
How
to Make Tempoyak:
1.
Meat durian, input into the jar while season with enough salt, and then closed
tightly.
2. After about One Week, open and mixed well, tempoyak
ready for use.
Blended ingredients:
2 cloves of garlic
4 cloves Onion
3 large pieces of red chilli
Cayenne pepper, according to your taste
How to Cook Tempoyak:
First, stir fry the
blended ingredients and then add Tempoyak and put on some sugar according you
your taste. And the last stir until it cooked. Tempoyak ready to serve.
